Lael Fresenius

Coach Lael Fresenius enters her fifth season at LBVBC.  Known for her competitiveness and volleyball savvy as both a player and coach, Coach Lael brings an abundance of knowledge and passion for the game.  During the previous four seasons she has coached various age levels, attempting to instill the same drive and understanding of the game in all of her players.

A local product out of Dana Hills High School, Coach Lael enjoyed a successful junior's career, earning a spot on the Volleyball Monthly "Fab 50" in her senior year.  She went on to play at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she continued to excel, being named All-American in her senior year as well as Cal Poly SLO's Athlete of the Year.  Following her successful collegiate career, Coach Lael competed professionally on the beach with the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals), WPVA (Women's Professional Volleyball Association), and BVA (Beach Volleyball America) tours.

In addition to coaching club volleyball, Coach Lael has spent time coaching at the high school level.  She served as Head Girls' Varsity Volleyball Coach at Dana Hills High School for six years (2004-2009) and, most recently, was the Head Girls' Junior Varsity Coach at J Serra High School (2012).

Coach Lael continues to enjoy playing volleyball and is instilling the same love for the game and desire to compete in her three daughters.
