Hava Davis

 

One of LBVBC's most decorated and experienced coaches, Coach Hava Davis enters his 22nd season with the club.  With an intense passion and respect for the game, Coach Hava strives to train his players to not only pass, set, and hit the ball but to have a better understanding of the game.

A local product of Laguna Beach High School, Coach Hava has spent time coaching at the collegiate, high school, club, and High Performance levels.  Most recently, Coach Hava served as an Assistant Coach with the UC Irvine Women's Volleyball Team (2012-2013). Prior to that he served as an Assistant Coach at Concordia University (2008-2010) where his responsibilities included training the setters, overseeing team offensive schemes, and recruiting incoming talent.  With his help, the Eagles reached the NAIA Championship Finals (2008) and produced six All-Americans.  Coach Hava was also an Assistant Coach at Saddleback College for two seasons. 

Always in high demand, Coach Hava has also lent his knowledge to numerous high school volleyball programs.  He has spent time at Dana Hills High School (1996, 2005), Santa Margarita High School (2004), Northwood High School (2003), Laguna Beach High School (1997, 2000), and Capistrano Valley High School (1997).

In his addition to his duties at LBVBC, Coach Hava has spent the past seven summers coaching the SCVA High Performance - European Global Challenge Team against some of the world's best Junior National Teams at an international tournament in Pula, Croatia.  Coach Hava currently lives in Dana Point and is married to Franca Davis.
